What third-party services are available in SpendLayer?
SpendLayer integrates a curated selection of third-party services directly within the wallet interface, including on-ramping (converting fiat to crypto), off-ramping (converting crypto back to fiat), crypto-to-crypto swapping, and staking. These services are provided entirely by regulated third-party providers — SpendLayer does not operate as an exchange, ramp, or staking provider itself.
Each provider operates under their own Terms & Conditions, KYC requirements, and risk appetite. SpendLayer uses smart routing to connect users to approved, compliant providers — but the provision of any service, and its availability to you, is subject to the relevant provider's own policies and regulatory authorisations. For questions about a specific provider's supported jurisdictions or requirements, please contact your Distributor or Integrator.
I'm a merchant — can I integrate SpendLayer directly?
Merchants cannot integrate the SpendLayer APM independently. To accept SpendLayer as a payment method, merchants must partner with one of our authorised Distributors or Integrators, who handle the technical integration and onboarding process.
If you're a merchant interested in accepting SpendLayer, get in touch and we'll send you a list of our partners so you can find the right fit for your business.
Is SpendLayer available in my country?
SpendLayer's wallet is available broadly, however the availability of specific services — such as on-ramping, off-ramping, swapping, and staking — depends entirely on the underlying third-party providers, not SpendLayer itself.
Services are not available in jurisdictions subject to applicable international sanctions, including those under EU, UN, and OFAC sanctions regimes. They are also unavailable in countries where the relevant provider does not hold the required regulatory authorisation — this currently includes the United States. For specific information about which services are available in your jurisdiction, please contact your Distributor or Integrator.
What is the 16-digit Authorisation Code and how is it used?
Every SpendLayer wallet is automatically linked to a unique 16-digit Authorisation Code. Think of it as your wallet's payment identity — it's what enables BlockDebit to function as an Alternative Payment Method (APM) at checkout.
When you pay at a merchant that supports SpendLayer, you simply enter your 16-digit code at checkout. This creates a payment mandate between you and the merchant, defining the agreed amount, frequency, and limits. Importantly, this code is not an access credential — it never exposes your private keys and does not grant anyone access to your funds. It is purely a secure payment reference that keeps your assets fully protected while enabling seamless recurring payments.
How do I revoke or manage a payment mandate?
You remain in full control of every payment mandate at all times. From within your SpendLayer wallet, you can view all active mandates, see the exact terms you approved — including amount, frequency, duration, and maximum limits — and revoke any mandate instantly, at any time, with no need to contact the merchant.
Once revoked, no further collections can be made under that mandate. This transparency and user-controlled framework is a core part of how SpendLayer works — you always know exactly what you've agreed to, and you can always change your mind.
